So you have written your book and had it published, job done! or is it? Read our top ten tips to after you have your book published to see what you should be doing now.
1. Use every social media site known to man. Join, get active, share, post, spread the word.
2. Use hashtags and send messages to everyone to help you to get your links to published work out there.
3. Do giveaways, book excerpts, readings online.
4. Contact bookstores, local library, schools, colleges, conferences, museums, local places of interest. Anywhere that you can link your book too.
5. Do not be afraid to ask for help.
6. Go to bookfairs, local fetes, craft fayres. Anywhere you can get a stall and sell your book.
7. Give out leaflets, contact the local press, let everyone know about your work.
8. Get promotional material, book marks, fridge magnets, anything that you can give away with a sale. Sweeten the pot.
9. Get a supportive network behind you. People who will help, online or in person.
10. Sell yourself, take every opportunity. Blogs, reviews, retweets. Use them all.
